As a new or experienced parent, the NICU is one of the most challenging journeys a parent may be forced to navigate. During NICU Awareness Month, Hand to Hold celebrates the milestones and honors the grief of all who have had a NICU experience.
A Special Gift Honoring a Legacy of Compassion
Nancy G. pictured with her mother, Helen S.
This year Nancy celebrates 47 years of nursing, and 47 years of working directly with babies. Nancy’s interest in nursing began at a young age. Nancy shares,
"When I saw my Mom in her white uniform, white shoes, white cap and the biggest smile on her face as she went to serve and help others, I knew I wanted to be just like her.”
In honor of her mother, Nancy generously donated to Hand to Hold, and is honored in our Giving Society. Nancy shared,
“I came across Hand to Hold as I was searching desperately for support for our parents and I came across this gold mine!...
We envision a world where every NICU family has a trusted Hand to Hold through their NICU journey and beyond. For as little as $19 per month, you help Hand to Hold realize this vision.
Join Hand to Hold for the only Central Texas event to thank, honor, and celebrate NICU Champions who have boldly supported the local NICU community.
This cocktail reception will feature live music, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, the beloved diaper pull, and opportunities to directly impact the lives of NICU families. Admission is free, but space is limited.
Can't attend? Join the Hand to Hold's Giving Society or donate today to help us provide NICU parents with personalized emotional support, educational resources and community before, during and after their baby’s NICU stay.
