Each November, as part of Prematurity Awareness Month, we reflect on the effect prematurity has on families in our communities and around the globe.

1 in 10 babies is born prematurely worldwide. And while prematurity does not affect all of the families we serve here at Hand to Hold, it does make up a large number. 

Hand to Hold is dedicated to providing these families with powerful and compassionate support in the form of virtual support groups, peer mentors, and online communities. Keep reading to find out how you can share our mission with your communities, how you can get involved with Hand to Hold, or how to find support for yourself or a loved one.

Volunteer Highlight: Costumes for NICU Cuties

This past month volunteers donated their time to create adorable Halloween costumes for NICU babies, and our Family Support Specialists passed them out in all of our partner hospitals. Save the Date for Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday is December 1! One of the easiest ways to give back to Hand to Hold is to start a Facebook fundraiser to share with your community. Here are a few other ways you can give back! 

Join us: Virtual Support Groups

Join us Monday - Friday for virtual support groups, right from your computer or mobile device. Groups are available for current NICU families, NICU-graduate families, Spanish-speaking families, Black families, and bereaved families. Our virtual support groups are here to support parents at any stage of their journey.
