World Prematurity Day Photo Challenge!
We're celebrating Prematurity Awareness Day with a fun photo challenge, along with our partners at EFCNI! Here's how you can participate:
Select two photos - one in the NICU and one now. Try to find a current picture of your child hitting a major milestone or just living their best life!
Post to your Facebook and/or Instagram account on World Prematurity Day (11/17) with the captions, "How it started" and "How it's going." You can create a collage or post two separate photos like we did with Qingston up above!
Include the hashtags #WPDChallenge, #WorldPrematurityDay2020 and #LittleHeroes.
Make sure to tag Hand to Hold on Facebook and @handtohold on Instagram!
If your account is private and you want to share with us, feel free to message us a screenshot through Facebook or Instagram.

NEW: Support Group for Bereaved Parents
No one understands what itβs like to suffer the loss of a baby like a parent who has been there. Join us for a virtual support group specifically for bereaved parents, led by Family Support Specialist and bereaved parent Christine Tester. Thursdays at 5 p.m. CST.
It is vital that medical professionals share with parents who have newborns the risk factors that can lead to SIDS. Learn more in episode 11 of the NICU Heroes podcast, with guest Barb Himes, Director of Education and Bereavement Services for First Candle National SIDS Alliance. This episode is sponsored by The Boppy Company and is worth one contact hour of nursing continuing education.
